Making Cleaning Easier In Alternative Ways
When it comes to the house cleaning, no one gets particularly excited. In fact, most people avoid the housework like the plague, preferring to do absolutely anything to get out of having to clean. It seems strange though, given that the cleaning is actually rather free of anything that challenging. The difficulty with cleaning is that it is so unchallenging, but also repetitive and time consuming, that the job is one that screams boredom, and people hate boredom like nothing else! However, there are ways to challenge this, and making the cleaning easier by utilizing different techniques that are based around making the whole thing less dull will be the best way to ensure that you can get the job done without it feeling like the end of the world every time! For a start, you need to ensure that your tools are up to scratch. There is a lot to be said for ensuring that everything is giving you it’s best, from the vacuum cleaner being serviced and appropriately sized for your house, to the mop bucket having a sturdy handle so you don’t slosh water everywhere as you climb the stairs. These are simple things than sound laughably obvious, but how long do you spend preparing to clean as opposed to how long you are actually then cleaning for? Reducing the time that you spend messing about and getting ready to clean will ensure that you spend less time overall on the process, and less time cleaning means more time spent doing what you want. If you feel like most of your set up time is spent untangling the vacuum cord and trying to find appropriately placed plugs, then you may benefit from getting a new cordless vacuum cleaner. Or if you have a lot of hard flooring, look into getting a steamer, that will be quicker and better than mopping! You should try dividing the cleaning up in to set times throughout the week. Like on Monday morning, just before you leave for work, you put the radio on and vacuum the whole bottom floor. If you are well set up it shouldn’t take more than fifteen minutes, and you won’t need to do it again for the rest of the week, unless something gets spilled or it gets really dirty for some other reason. You could clean the kitchen properly every Thursday after you have finished your dinner, alongside a decent wipe down every time you wash up. The list goes on, and it may not work for you but it could be a good start! Distracting yourself from being bored is a key part of ensuring that you are always doing the best job that you can, and this can easily be done through audio entertainment. If you put on your favorite album whilst cleaning the bathroom, you will find that you will be finished well before it does, at least you would hope that your bathroom does not need more than 40 minutes cleaning time! The same goes for listening to the radio, audio books or even language tapes. Who knows, you may learn something great when washing the dishes, or discover a favorite new book whilst mopping the floor. It all counts towards making the cleaning more fun, and if you are having a better time, then the process will be easier, and the time will go by much faster!
